Busy Four 4H Club members conducted a Arbor Day ceremony at Midway Roadside Park. The flowering red dogwood tree was dedicated by Mrs. Charles Wedge with a benediction by Mrs. Pearle Sayre. Certificates Presented For Heart Fund Work
Mason County Heart Association awarded certificates of merit from the State Health Department for outstanding work in the 1968 Mason County Fund Drive. Ken Leikari announced the drive reached 93 percent of its $1,700 goal and thanked donors. certificates went to Mr. and Mrs. Windsor and others including Red Brand, Belva Farley, Dr. Dan Glassman, Phyllis Silvers, and Mary Hyre with Nancy Walker, Maxine Walters, and Robert Siler. Post 261 Explorer Scouts received a plaque for door-to-door outreach.
