Ohio University Theatre staged Mario Fratti's The Cage in its American premiere. Eugene Spinks stars as Christiano the paranoid man who locks himself in a cage to evade persecution. Larue Hall plays Chiara and her husband Pierre influences the deadly outcome.
Portrayed by James Lauri cella, the couple’s cruel relationship fuels the tragedy with a revealing yet repetitious script. Mrs Hall and Lauri cella create a gripping conflict leading to an exciting and horrifying climax, especially in the third act. Director Bay guides the production in its Athens premiere through Fratti’s translations.
