Staneridge of Bangor, fell to his death when a gin pole breaking while hoisting a steeple toppled from a 175 foot church tower at Hunter Street Baptist Church. Three Drown Over State Drowning Incidents Reported

Cutler Man Given 5 to 30 Years for Kidnaping

Ralph Lemon, Jr., 30, of Cutler in Washington County, is sentenced to Ohio Penitentiary for 5 to 30 years on a kidnaping charge. He had pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity but changed to guilty. The offense stemmed from the Oct. 29, 1956 kidnapping of 15 year old Carolyn Bills.
