New Pastor Installed at Athens Presbyterian Church
The Athens Presbytery installed Rev. O. B. Pershing as pastor of the Athens Presbyterian Church. Rev. E. H. Whittaker of Beverly handled the installation, with sermons and charges delivered by Rev. G. E. Jackson of Marietta and Rev. Thomas Turnbull of Pomeroy. A choral program featured Unfold Ye Portals and Messiah selections. Congregation welcomed Pershing and former pastor Dr. G. W. King after the service.
