State Engineers Say Site For Lake Project Unsuitable
Meigs County officials reported that a state owned lake near Hoskins farm cannot be built at the proposed site due to shallow water depth and an unsuitable road grade. Engineers say Route 31 level limits dam height, yielding only about 3.8 feet of water, making the site impractical for a fishing lake. A search for a better location will begin immediately with input from Conservation Commissioner William H. Reinhart.
