Cultural Cues oil paintings by James E Carlos exhibit in Italy
James E Carlos teaching fellow at Ohio University will show oil paintings in Italy this spring and summer. The lineup includes landscapes portraits movement studies and space studies in Palazzola Milan Capri Brescia Bergamo and Legnano with Sigseppe Bilotti coordinating. Richard Lilly OU music MFA candidate will perform a Sunday recital at Memorial Auditorium in partial fulfillment of degree requirements. He studied organ with Hamilton and Wickstrom and has served as church organist and accompanist for the OU Chorus and Singers. His program features works by Buxtehude Bach Liszt Langlais and Crandell. Joseph Raieff American pianist rescheduled to May 4 and 5 from April 21 and 22 per Dr Karl Ahrendt OU School of Music director.

The Amesville Cloverettes elected April Bushhfield president with Joan Powell as vice president and Diana Powell as secretary. Next meeting set for May 4 at 7 30 p.m. at the Amesville Grange Hall with Mrs Boyer and Mrs McClellan as advisors. The Garden Cattle 4-H Club met at Ralph Mantle home and organized posters for an April 18 dance to benefit the Cancer Fund with a May 1 7 30 p.m. gathering at Ambrose Howard’s home.
