The Ohio House considers compulsory auto inspections to remove unsafe vehicles. The plan would place the program under the Highway Patrol, with stations statewide and penalties including license suspensions for repair neglect. Inspections would cost 1.50 dollars each, and a 30 mile grace drive would be allowed after a repair order.
