Logan to get Citizens Bank with July 1 opening planned
Logan will gain a new bank this summer after the Citizens Bank of Logan received a charter approval from the state bank advisory board. The proposed incorporators include Dayton Schultheis and Roy Funk, while Farmers and Merchants Bank directors opposed the application. Capital will total $250,000 with 5,000 shares of common stock at $50 each, and the bank plans to lease and buy the current Logan Federal Savings and Loan quarters, with opening set for July 1 pending stock sale.
