Civic Pride Pushes Athens Bond Issue Vote

O F Rowland told Kiwanis members civic pride should drive Athens voters to approve a 165000 bond issue for a new City hall and auditorium. He argued finances are sound, the project complements university growth, and rents from James Theatre would offset costs, with an expected net end value of about 85600 after twenty years. Noting planned revenue from a store room, he urged support without formal club action.
