Mythology Olympics at Athens Public Library Engage Young Warriors
Seven youths competed in a Greek gods themed challenge at the Athens Public Library led by Luke Bentley. The events tested memory, balance, and problem solving through trials Athena Cronos labyrinth and Zeus Twister with six finishing as champions. Participants Alison Russ Ethan Russ and Edison Stamp shared how books and myths fuel their interest. Bentley announced next event Quick Poetry for Kids on Tuesday April 18 from 4 30 to 5 30 p m adding a resource table of Greek myth books.

Athens film festival wraps with global filmmaker wrap party
The Athens International Film and Video Festival concluded with a wrap party at the Athena Cinema on Court Street. Director David Colagiovanni explained the festival supports film creation and exhibition, builds a cinema community, and presents ideas unavailable elsewhere. About 50 filmmakers attended from the UK Ireland and across the United States to screen work and network. Ohio University student Kyle Hildreth helped plan and run the festival, gaining professional and personal connections.
