Repair of Two Streets Authorized by Council
Nelsonville council authorized bid advertising for blacktop resurfacing on a W Franklin St section and Myers St in the city improvement program. Roadways will receive bituminous finish with funds totaling about 6,000 dollars for plant yards and 840 dollars for a Nelson to Route 56 route project, part of a State Highway Department program. A Dorr Run Property Owners Association committee, led by Rev Lloyd Evans, urged permanent improvements and possible taxes for curbing, with residents pushing for a speed‑restricted, fully surfaced street three quarters of a mile long.
