Poultry Profits Possible
GLOUSTER The Glouster Kiwanis Club met at the Hotel Gorton Monday evening. Harold Baker of Pro vinco Feed Co was guest speaker on Poultry Broiler Business. He traced broiler production from 1990 on the East Coast to Georgia where cotton declined. Ohio now produces about one third of its consumption. Southeastern Ohio farms could profit from broiler production due to city markets nearby. Twenty five million broilers are consumed weekly in the U S with yearly consumption around one and one fourth billion. Fried chicken packages are expected at frozen counters soon.
