A surprise birthday dinner for Mrs. William H. Rose was held Monday night at Mrs. Stanley Sigismund’s home in Fisher Station. The event featured spring flowers candles and music after 6 30 pm with guests including Mrs. Rose her husband her parents the Joneses and a large list of relatives and friends.

OU Engineers Ball opens the post Easter social season at the Men's Gymnasium on Friday April 11. Sonny Dunham and his 16 piece orchestra will perform from eight until midnight for dancing. Tickets are on sale at Logans and the Student Grill, limited to 600 attendees to prevent overcrowding.

A movie Thy Will Be Done was shown and Carl Roberts presented The March of Time. Ice cream and gingerbread were served by the Kellogg Allen and MacDonald host groups.
Susan Wandling daughter of Mr and Mrs John FE Wandling from The Plains was christened Easter Sunday at St Pauls Catholic Church Athens. Sponsors were aunt Miss Lousella Wandling and Virgil Rutter. Susan's brother David was christened on Easter Sunday two years ago.
