Two Juveniles to Appear in Nelsonville Burglary Case
Athens County sheriff's deputies say two 16 year olds from Nelsonville Route 1 were charged with attempted breaking and entering of Bob Riley's Cycle Sales in Nelsonville Thursday night. A 5 year old, Barbara Puckett of Athens Route 4, was treated for a cut and head bump after being struck by Ralph Guthrie's car on Athens County Road 42. Guthrie, driving 20 mph, was not cited.

Motorcyclist suffers compound leg fracture in county crash
A Guysville man, Gene Arthur Hines 24, sustained a compound fracture when his motorcycle struck a traffic sign and fence on Route 329 four miles south of Athens County Road 48. He was taken to O'Bleness Hospital. the 6:05 p.m. crash is under investigation.
