Mason County to Hold Compulsory Food Handling Courses
Mason County officials announced mandatory food handling training for all workers in restaurants beer parlors lunch rooms soda fountains and private clubs. Two courses will be held April 13 at the Mason City Community Building and April 14 at Moose Club in Point Pleasant. Each session runs about eight hours beginning at 2 PM. Courses cover utensils sanitation sterilization food inspection bacteria spread and controls. The six topics aim to reduce the spread of communicable disease through food handling while remaining open to all interested persons.
