State Fishing Waters Closed Regions and Timelines
Athens County streams in the Margaret Creek basin west and southwest of Athens are closed this year. Meigs County streams, mainly Leading Creek and its tributaries in the western area, are closed. Leading Creek flows into the Ohio River below Middleport. The department plans to close one third of the states waters this year and over the next three years. Two thirds of state streams will be closed in 1933 and virtually all inland waters in early 1934 unless plans change. Muskingum Duck Creek Little Muskingum area not closed in 1952.
