Alleged drug dealer held on $2 M bond
A Westerville man tied to a The Plains raid, 36 year old Eric J. Miller, is jailed on a 2 million dollar bond after a March 30 arrest in Columbus on charges of engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity and two counts of aggravated trafficking in heroin. Miller appeared in Athens County Municipal Court for an initial hearing as authorities claim he is a major narcotics trafficker with a prior record. Authorities say over ten thousand dollars in new clothing and a new MacBook were found during a search of his Westerville residence. The investigation involved the Columbus Police Department and Athens County Prosecutor Keller Blackburn, with bonds linked to a past case of a drug ring leader. A related arrest of Kristin Smith, 26, of Pataskala, occurred last week on similar charges.
