The Messenger presents biographical sketches of nominees for major state offices. Roger W. Tracy, Republican, seeks a fourth term as treasurer of state with three prior terms and no opposition. Born in Columbus 59 years ago, he previously served as state examiner and held roles in education and pension programs.
Ohio delegates to the GOP convention prefer Nixon as their first choice for vice president with 33 of 37 respondents backing him. Some cited Humphrey as a second option, while others favored Bricker Bender Knowland or no choice. Delegates will be elected in the May primary and are pledged to Bricker as Ohio’s favorite son to aid Eisenhower.
Mrs Mabel Weber and husband sold property near Todds to Mr and Mrs Howard Parsons and bought the Ted Carr property west of their store.
