Hospital Service Official Addresses Kiwanis Meeting
Ralph W. Jordan of Central Hospital Service urged Kiwanis members in Gallipolis that average life expectancy could reach 70 years by 1955 due to private practice and hospital progress. He warned socialized medicine could raise taxes and weaken the current system, citing costs and stay lengths, while noting high U.S. health standards. Wayne Foster introduced him. Central Hospital Service serves 281,000 members with a discharge every 17 minutes from 32 hospitals.
