Rio Grande College campaign reports $29,445 in first rally
Harland T. Martin announced that the Rio Grande College fund drive has raised $29,445 at the initial team captain reporting meeting in Gallipolis Washington Elementary School. The drive seeks $400,000 for a college library to aid accreditation by the North Central Association. The next report is set for 5 p.m. next Tuesday in Washington School.

Ex-Prisoner In Cuba Will Be Speaker
John Martino, author of I Was Castro's Prisoner, will speak at Rio Grande College on Thursday at 8 p.m. in Community Hall under joint Art Series and Tri-County Community Concert Association. Admission is 1.25 for the public, with members and students using tickets. He spent 40 months in Castro prisons and will share an inside view of Communist Cuba.
