Exhibition Games Show Strategy Concentration

Exhibition baseball yesterday resembled a championship with managers testing strategy and players stepping into spotlight roles. Four games were decided by one run including Milwaukee’s 3-2 win over Brooklyn as Al Facchini broke a 2-2 tie in the eighth with a pinch single. A 14-11 Giants win over the Indians featured 18 ground rule doubles and a scuffle prompting umpire Warneke to eject a peace official.
