Georgia to vote on salaries rise for top courts
Governor Hugh M. Dorasy proclaims a proposed constitutional amendment to raise salaries of the Supreme Court Justices Court of Appeals Judges and Superior Court Judges. The measure, approved in 1920, would set salaries at 7000 dollars for Supreme Court and Court of Appeals judges 5000 for Superior Court judges with county supplements and staggered payments. It would take effect upon ratification and apply to current and future holders. The amendment requires two thirds approval of the General Assembly and public ratification at the next general election on November 1920.
