Clarke county Georgia fixes the state and county tax rate at five mills per thousand for 1911. Postal savings system to reach small post offices
The plan begins with 100 offices in smaller commercial towns across 12 states to accept deposits by October 7. About 100 designations per day will be made so that by January 1 the postal savings system will operate in all of the 8,000 first, second and third class offices.
