At last night’s city council meeting Thomas R. Crawford was elected to the board of health, replacing Dr R C Orr. Dr A M Soule was reelected. The board of education read a statement on Rome school cost articles. no action taken. Citizens pressed water mains on Springdale and sidewalk repairs on Dougherty and Strong streets. Woodrow Street petitioned for city take over. A fountain gift was accepted for Elberton-Oconee junction, with cooperation from county commissioners.
