Man buys young horse, loses it to accident on State St
A Barberville dairy farmer bought a three year old horse last Saturday. On Friday the frightened animal bolted with a milk wagon, broke its leg in two places, and the owner, fearing the creature’s death, gave it away after a bystander suggested possible recovery with care. The horse was taken by a passing Black man who hoped to try.
