University Bans Inter sectional Football Games

Thornton guilty bets two years in penitentiary
Parvin Thornton a young white man from Oglethorpe County was found guilty of a statutory offense and sentenced to from one to two years in the state pen. In Clarke Superior Court the jury retired after being sworn Friday and returned a verdict by 3 pm Saturday. The trial lasted two days. Also set for Monday morning is the murder case of Briggs Carson charged in Lee White shooting. McClure brothers face manslaughter charges in W. A.
