Athens dispatch reports that Rev. Troy Beatty of Emmanuel Church was elected clerical delegate to the general convention of the Protestant Episcopal churches in New York. T. H. Nickerson and Mrs. M. Strahan were chosen as lay and women’s missionary representatives respectively. Beatty, Nickerson, Mrs. Strahan and their spouses left by the Southern Railway for New York.
