Plans were laid for a statewide food conservation drive in October under U S government supervision. The Georgia executive committee listed leaders including Governor Dorsey and Mrs Samuel Inman, with county chairmen to recruit workers and canvass homes starting October 22 to secure housewives' pledges to conserve food. The drive also links to Liberty Bond sales via small installment loans, with Banks in the Sixth district expected to support bond purchases of 50 to 500 dollars by various workers.
In Atlanta on October 3 the Liberty Loan drive for the second bond issue moves into nearly every militia district of the Sixth Federal Reserve District. About 600 committees have been formed, rising to more than 100 new appointments daily, with around 2,000 committees expected by late October. The aim is to reach every potential buyer of Liberty Loan Bonds.
The advice urges slow chewing and thorough mastication to ease sour stomach and suggests suspending meat for a few days. If symptoms persist, take one of Chamberlain's Tablets after supper and note red meats as a common cause.

The United States is divided into thirteen divisions each a separate operating unit. Chapters report directly to the Division HQ and to Division Managers. Dozens of young women have matriculated at the Atlanta Law School as the fall term opens. An act passed in 1910 allows women to practice law in Georgia, and several already have taken advantage. In Atlanta Fulton County, the legal field is expanding with more women joining the profession.
