Dr. R R Moton principal of Tuskegee Institute spoke last night at Moss Auditorium urging racial harmony during the Good Will Tour led by the Inter Racial Commission. A large audience of white and negro citizens heard the address as a lens stamped the tour’s message of unity.

MOULTRIE Ga John S Williams owner of the murder farm in Jasper county and convicted of murder has been transferred from the state farm to Colquitt county chaingang. Williams was a trusty at the state farm and was made one on arrival here. The trip from Milledgeville to Moultrie was by automobile and crowds gathered at nearly every stop to see him.
Rev Dr Walter Anthony formerly of First Methodist in Athens will become pastor of Mulberry Street Methodist Church in Macon. Bishop W N Ainsworth announced Anthony’s assignment at Waycross conference. Anthony moved from North Georgia to Florida then South Georgia, a move awaited by many in Athens who valued his ministry. Mulberry Street Church stands as one of Georgia’s largest appointments with notable past leaders.
Somerset county grand jury resumes hearing witnesses in the Hall Mills murder inquiry after a three day recess. Twelve witnesses remain, including Mrs Jane Gibson whose eyewitness account is a key state asset. The hearing is expected to wrap tomorrow.
Former state senator L C Brown has been appointed by Governor Hardwick as a delegate to the National Rivers and Harbors Convention meeting in Washington D C on December 6. He will represent Georgia along with other prominent citizens.
Clifford R. Wilson was found guilty of violating a U S court injunction during the last summer's shopmen strike. He was sentenced to a $600 fine and three months in jail. Wilson assaulted three employees of the Georgia railroad shops.
Mrs. Montine Dailey of Center died Monday at 11 45 am after six weeks illness. Funeral at Center Methodist church Tuesday at 4 pm with Rev. Willie Saye and Rev. Hargis officiating. She was a Methodist, survived by husband Oscar Dailey, her mother Mrs. G B Evans of Athens, two sisters and three brothers. Burial in Center cemetery Bernstein in charge.
Governor C G Abbott assistant director of the Smithsonian will deliver an illustrated lecture at the University chapel next Friday at eight on the Heat of the Sun and Other Stars. The talk opens the Georgia Academy of Sciences. The public is invited to attend.
Washington reports that nine senators and 23 representatives have accepted invitations to attend a conference here to organize a progressive bloc in Congress. The group aims to unite progressive leaders and supporters, with invitations extended to December 2 for general conferences.
Mr. Whelchel of the state college of agriculture gave an engaging talk at the Gray school auditorium Thursday evening on Georgia re sorting to dairying as a money crop and to land improvement. He showed moving pictures including a trip for club boys through Armour's packing plant and other farm life images.
Mrs E F Lanier of West Point died suddenly at her home after midnight Sunday. She was a well known Athens figure, mother to Mrs E C Branson wife of Dr Branson once president of the State Normal, and to Mrs Thos Shackelford who lived in Athens. Survived by children Allen F Johnson Horace James Phil Lanier and Mrs Scott Baker. Funeral Wednesday at the West Point Christian church with interment in West Point cemetery.
In Americus Georgia Manuel Herrick the Flying Oklahoma Congressman plans an aviation trip to Washington for President Hardings extraordinary congressional session He will depart Americus with F W Crane for Savannah then fly along the coast making several stops en route He is expected to be the first lawmaker to reach the capital by air.
Berlin AP reports Chancellor Cuno opening the Reichstag session stated he would soon call a meeting of premiers of the federal states. The aim is to secure cooperation in addressing Germany's mounting problems.
A Thanksgiving entertainment is set at Hinton Brown School on Thursday night November 30. The program features a short school presentation, several numbers by the Normal School Glee Club, a contest, and a refreshment hour for all attendees. Admission is free.

Mrs A Capps was struck while boarding a street car on Milledge avenue and taken to St Marys hospital with a broken right ankle and left arm. Ned Cohen drove the automobile involved. Motorman says Mrs Capps had bundles and was dragged several feet as the car struck her.
