A city meeting assigns judges and clerks for December elections in Athens. It lists ward by ward election sites and the time frame from nine in the morning to four in the afternoon on December 5, naming the appointed officials and polling locations.
Mr. WB Stuart resigns as manager of the Western Union Telegraph Co in this city and departs for Macon to assume the Macon office leadership. Mr J H Clark of Atlanta arrives to take charge in this city and will guide Western Union as a capable representative.

Mrs W J Mayfield formerly Miss Lote Barry died Sunday at her home after a brief illness of pneumonia. She leaves a husband and three young children. The funeral was held at Mrs J M Barry’s residence on Thomas Street with Dr W H L Young conducting, and she was buried in Oconee cemetery.
