Washington Nov 20 The final preparations were made for a great battle Saturday over the administration currency bill in the senate. Three bills share a common aim of backing currency with prime commercial paper and establishing regional Reserve banks under a federal Reserve board. Disputes center on the number of regional banks eight for Democrats and the president, four for Republicans, and the question of ownership and control by regional banks or by the government. Additional disagreements cover rediscounting reserves and loan policies.
A Yale era court report states the city court will meet as usual today despite ward election activity at the courthouse. The calendar includes Jackson v Lynn Plumbing Co where the defendant wins damages and Rowland v railroad where the plaintiff prevails. Calendared cases for Friday November 21 include Callahan v Athens Railway and Electric Co and others.
Hoy Mayors race proceeds with Hon W F Dorsey as the sole entry for today. No opposing candidate filed to challenge in the municipal contest.

A federal grand jury in Kansas City indicts Tiger officials and Florida Fruit Lands Company agents on twenty one counts each for conspiring to use the mails to defraud in sale of 180000 acres in the Everglades to about twelve thousand buyers across states. Named are Richard J Bolles Jesse L Billingsley George A Paddock and others from Chicago Jacksonville and Kansas City. Trial follows earlier Justice Department moves amid disputes over drainage and misrepresentation by officials.

He said Theodore N Vail H P Davison and J P Morgan & Co tried to steer the deal and a truce over appraisals and territory was broken when AT&T bought Kansas City. AT&T holdings were urged to be nine hundred million.
Yesterday’s Shore Show drew a crowd about twice the usual for Dr. Robinson’s circus. The event ran with decent order as police patrolled and a Black Maria was on hand, with roughly 26 to 28 arrests mainly for intoxication and minor offenses. A lone assault incident occurred as a negro woman was struck, and a couple was escorted from the cemetery amid minor scuffles among residents.
The Georgia and Auburn football showdown in Atlanta looms as the biggest clash yet. Georgia’s line and backfield are praised while Auburn is noted for a heavier, fast team. Last year’s 12 to 6 Georgia win in Athens is recalled as a model for a clean, top level game as both sides seek the championship.
