The State Normal School has purchased 180 acres near its holdings by the river two miles from the city center. The farm will supply milk and butter for the dining hall and produce beef, hogs, forage, and vegetables for the institution feeding about eight hundred during nine months. Dr Andrew Soule Becomes United States Citizen
Dr. Andrew McNairn Soule, longtime Georgia agricultural educator and president of the Georgia State College of Agriculture, was yesterday granted United States citizenship in a federal court. Born in Canada, Soule pursued naturalization after stints in Missouri Texas Tennessee and Virginia, finally completing Georgia residency and taking the oath as a loyal American citizen with full rights.
