Mrs Martha Potter widow of Rev James Potter longtime Baptist in the county was buried yesterday afternoon. The services at Second Baptist Church were conducted by Rev Ed Stone with a large crowd in attendance. She was a 40 year member of the church and related to Pastor Rev B F Elliott. Burial followed at Princeton Factory Cemetery.

Friends were to ride along to the train then wait with the body in the baggage car. The funeral proceeded as planned with the old mail wagon and the casket sent to Wilkes County for burial.

He posted firearms at the tower of a courthouse, evaded arrest, and ran toward Dalton as warrants issued Friday. Dozens of suits loom as borrowers seek recovery of larger sums.
In Banks County near Homer, Mr Isaac Furr reportedly hanged himself in a barn after arising early for work. His four year old grandchild found him and notified the grandmother. An inquest was to be held. others say financial trouble may have caused the act. He leaves a wife and three children.
The Athens opera house hosted a refined amateur performance titled Among the Breakers in aid of the Y M C A. The production impressed a cultured audience with strong acting and a lively plot. Notable turns included Bessie Starbright Miss Minnie Daze Laura Speer Bessie Conger J M Hodgson and George Wilson Hodgeon Tom Cobb C B Griffith Eugene Black and N F Jackson earning praise for balance, humor, and stage presence. A substantial sum was raised for the Young Men’s Christian Association.
