State closes in the Becker case
New York May 1 District Attorney Whitman completed his case against Charles Becker charged with instigating the murder of Herman Rosenthal. Charles B Plitt Jr testified Becker while en route to Sing Sing asked him to kill Jack Rose and discussed alibi plans. James Marshall testified he saw Becker and Rose at a Harlem conference and heard of a conspiracy to kill Rosenthal. Plitt filed affidavits favoring Becker. The defense opens tomorrow, Mrs Becker to testify.

Banks Sign Papers for Atlanta Federal Reserve Incorporation

Death of Miss Pearl Creighton at 23
Miss Pearl Creighton aged 23 died Sunday night around seven at her Harris street home after several days illness. Funeral and burial were held at Sandy Creek church yesterday at 3 o clock conducted by Rev E L Hill and Rev J D McPhail. She is survived by three sisters and a brother, all of this city.
