Governor Terrell issued a requisition to California for Maro S. Potter former cashier of the Davisboro Bank charged with embezzlement of about 24000 plus forgery and larceny after trust. Thomas Hewitt of Savannah named as agent to secure Potter in Los Angeles and return him to Sandersville for trial.

No Bonds Burned At Georgia Capitol Amidst Plan Reversal
Atlanta May 5 amid reports of planned destruction of old gold quarterly bonds none were burned. The state treasurer’s office found destroying these $1,000 7 percent bonds could erase valuable evidence for possible suits. Attorney General Hart and the commission halted burning and ordered $25,000,000 face value bonds and coupons restored to treasury vaults while reporting to the legislature for further guidance.
