Athens citizens approve street improvement and school bonds in a decisive citywide vote. Campaign led by Chamber of Commerce President A C Erwin and J H Dorsey with broad community support across wards. Officials note record turnout and praise workers for a historic, unifying victory advancing local growth.

The officers and teachers of the First M. E. Sunday School are called to meet at 7 45 p m in the Main Sunday School room for a brief session with a vital matter to be discussed. On Thursday at 7 45 p m the Wesley Class and the Baraca Class will meet for a short session.

Tonight at eight o clock the 500 club holds a social meeting at the YMCA. Members who have attended before need no urging, while newcomers receive a cordial invitation. Features in entertainment are promised and refreshments will be served. Bring friends and companions.
A called meeting of the mayor and council discussed a one page advertisement in a special Ella F. White memorial edition of the Atlanta Constitution. Mrs Lipscomb and Mrs Parker of Atlanta urged support, the matter was referred to the finance committee, and council committees were named to work with ward managers on bond vote canvassing.
Southern Railway moves uptown offices from Clayton street to Southern Mutual Building. The nearby vacated house will reopen in a few days as a tailoring shop by Segall and Zinberg of Baltimore, introducing a modern, attractive shop representing a famous woolen goods mill. They are welcomed to Athens and expected to do strong business.
