Burial set for Councilman Adolphus Richards this afternoon
Funeral arrangements are announced for Mr. Adolphus H. Richards a city council member mortally wounded by his son in law at the Richards home on Oconee street. The services will be at the Oconee street Methodist church at 3 30 PM with Rev. Sullivan Rev. Seatty and Rev. Saye officiating. Survivors include a wife and several children and brothers.

Father of Athens Man Dropped Dead
News came from Athens of the sudden death of Mr. W. R. D. Mason father of Mr. W. B. Mason connected with Bernstein Brothers establishment in town. Former resident of Mason's Mill Madison county he died yesterday evening around five at his Lavonia home.

Lunacy hearings set for July sixth in town
Mrs. Annie Westmoreland living at 440 Hiawassee avenue was arrested on a lunacy warrant. She was taken into custody as of unsound mind and a sane treatment case at the state asylum. Her sanity trial is set for July sixth. Mr and Mrs Hodgson and Miss Hodgson depart for Wrightsville Beach for a several weeks stay.

Operative Injured at Pottery Plant in Athens
At the Athens Pottery Company's large plant yesterday a lever broke and a piece of iron struck Jesse Garrison, a skilled worker, in the head causing a scalp wound. Company president A. F. Comer rushed him home and secured immediate surgical attention. the wound is not serious and Garrison was reported to be recovering well last night.

Riot and drunkenness charges against two in county
Arthur McNeil and Mattie McNeil, both colored, were arrested and jailed on riot and drunk on the public highway charges. They were reportedly disorderly and intoxicated on a county road near the county farm in sight of the convict camp last Saturday evening and engaged in a riot.
