Omega Georgia along the Atlanta Birmingham Southern line near Tifton suffered a devastating fire that destroyed the hotel owned by W M Logan along with Aaron Gunn occupying it and nearly all contents. Miles Cowart general merchandise store and medicines shop were destroyed. The northwest portion of town lost offices and stock. insurance covered some losses.
