Runaway Crash Injures Barwicks Near Gum Springs
Sunday afternoon Mr. Howell Barwick his wife and sister Miss Mary Barwick were badly hurt when a holding back strap broke on a buggy near Gum Springs. The horse bolted down a steep grade throwing all three out and tearing the buggy. Mrs Barwick and Miss Barwick sustained serious injuries. Miss Barwick required an operation to remove clots from the scalp and skull.

Ten year old girl dies after two days illness
A ten year old girl Janie England died at five am in the Boulevard home of Rev Sherman R England after a two day illness. Her funeral was held yesterday evening with many friends in attendance as ministers led services. The burial is planned for Thomaston this morning.

Yesterday afternoon the funeral for Mrs. England took place near the Normal school area with Rev. A. J. Sears and George Stone conducting. Grandchildren served as pallbearers and many friends followed to Oconee Cemetery. She was about seventy and never recovered after a fall that damaged her hip shoulder and knee.
