City Council Approves Georgia Railroad Crossing Plan
A special meeting of the mayor and council approved an ordinance allowing the Georgia Railroad and Banking Co to lay a side track crossing Foundry Street at Broad. The plan runs from near Webb Crawford wholesale house to the Phinizy Warehouse, with indemnity against damages to City Clerk W L Wood and private property noted in the contract.

Two Americans Killed by Ambush in Port Au Prince
Two Americans from the Washington landing force were killed in an ambush at Port au Prince. Marines returned fire with no further disturbance.
