Doors Of Legislative Hall Looked To Prevent Absentees
The Georgia legislature debated measures to improve quorum control and proceeded with bills on state auditing reform and militia restructuring. The senate advanced a state auditor bill with a stronger audit process, while local measures reallocated fines and salaries in Houston County. A moving Confederate pension bill passed the house, and a Georgia ship exemption proposal failed in the house by ten votes. Governor Harris issued invitations to the annual legislators reception.
