Marriage as a Mode in Tribal Betrothal Customs
A fragmentary item surveys a tribal custom where a suitor must hunt in the forest to prove worth before presenting to the girl's father. It contrasts this with a modern admonition about returning wedding gifts if engagement ends, and notes social receptions and club activities in Athens including Mrs. Bruce Carr Jones and the P. T. A. council events with committees preparing a Cook Book.
