Thrilling time avoiding a shark in Honolulu bay
An 1906 Wide Awake Magazine account describes a perilous fishing trip near Honolulu. The narrator battles a large man-eating shark while in a light skiff, tossing fish to distract it and attempting to reach Kepp harbor as the shark repeatedly leaps and circles the boat.
