Tomorrow's big push phall game on Sanford Field will be decided by luck or skill but the entire student body enjoys a university wide holiday today. In past years class rivalries disrupted classes with aftereffects still felt a week later, yet this year the Medball contest replaces the old banquet fights with a one day reprieve granted by the faculty.
The Demosthenian and Phi Kappa Literary Societies hold the one hundred eleventh Demosthenian and first Phi Kappa anniversaries in the College chapel this evening at 8 30. Orators Bentley H Chappell and Geo T Northen address the audience with masters of ceremonies W A Mann and Edgar B Dunlap.
A two reel attraction titled Dante’s Inferno plays at the Majestic with stark fidelity to the epic poem. It features clear photography, realistic acting, and elaborate allegorical scenes depicting afterlife regions. A crowded house is expected. patrons are urged to arrive early. President Bryan boarded the Prince avenue car and, after a conductor checked for a ticket, paid his fare with a nickel. In Athens Mr C H Phinizy purchased a Cadilac and a second Cadilac grey Torpedo arrived for John White Morton, Athens dealer. Phinizy had visited Atlanta's auto show to study the million dollar display then returned home with a fine new machine. Also noted were cream puffs and pig hams advertised by Arnold and Abney.
