Funeral of Mr John W Saye held at Bethaven church
The funeral for Mr John W Saye was held Tuesday at three o clock at Bethaven Church near the city. He helped build the church over fifty years ago and remained a member. Dr J W Walden led services with many friends in attendance. Interment followed in Bethaven burial ground. Dr Gerdine, longtime Athens citizen and former alderman, was a special mention among the departed and church elders noted his half century of service.
