C E Hall of Suffolk Virginia and Clarke county native asks for a position in Athens to settle down in his boyhood home. He is seeking to move back to Clarke county and make Athens his permanent residence.
Athens was visited yesterday by several prominent railroad officials. Mr. T. B. Curtis, commercial agent of the Charleston and Western Carolina Railway Company, headquartered in Atlanta, Mr. T. E. Scott, commercial agent of the Carolina Clinchfield and Ohio Railway, with offices in Atlanta, and Mr. O. H. Allen, general agent of the Atlantic Coast Line.
The Athens Retail Merchants Protective Association held a meeting last night and elected A. A. Johnson as secretary, succeeding Hugh Bernard. Johnson, with offices to be in the Holman building, is described as well qualified for the role.

Yesterday morning about 11 oclock William Bryant aged about seventy died at his Hull Georgia home. The funeral is set for 3:30 PM this afternoon conducted by Rev Colle with burial at Colle cemetery. He leaves a daughter Mrs Kemp.
