Beer Cases Settled in City Court
After weeks in city court, imitation beer cases against Henry Culp J H Emerick and Asbury Childers were settled. Childers was convicted and fined 200, then reduced to 100 on a withdrawn new trial motion. The other two cases were not pressed all three paid at the same business location. The sellers stopped after a jury found violation of the state law.

Revenue Bill 18 Practically Agreed In Senate
Washington February 8 The administration revenue bill to raise about 250000000 and authorizing 100000000 in bonds has been practically agreed upon by Democrats of the senate finance committee. It will be submitted to the caucus tomorrow night. An effort to eliminate the excess profit tax failed and the committee agreed to accept a flat tax of two cents per pound on oleomargarine.

World War I Submarine Losses Report Rampant Sinking
