The Georgia Dairy and Livestock Association, Georgia Breeders' Association and Georgia State Horticultural Society plan joint sessions January 15–17 featuring experts from U.S. departments and universities. The Georgia National Bank and American State Bank announced quarterly dividends of three and two percent respectively. Dr A M Soule was elected director of both banks succeeding the late J Y Carthers. The Guaranty Investment and Loan Company declared a four percent semi annual dividend and elected M G Nicholson H P Lawrence and Jno J Wilkins to its board.

Detention of Cars Touched Off High Cost Inquiry

Athens Man W H Davis Pershing Dies at 68
Athens mourns the death of W H Davis at his 685 Prince Avenue home after a long illness. Born in Dalton he moved to Athens thirty years ago and served briefly in the Confederacy. He leaves a wife Mrs Luella Davis and three daughters, with funeral services by Dr James W Lynch at the First Baptist Church and interment in Oconee Cemetery.

Special circulars were sent to 400,000 members urging next steps in the Adamson law dispute, issued by four railroad brotherhood leaders. William G.
