Clarke County Progress Led by Skilled County Commission
Clarke County’s Board of Commissioners, formed to manage roads and revenues, has overseen major road improvements, jail and courthouse upgrades, and a strengthened county farm. The three-member board, led by Thomas P. Vincent, W. H. Morton, and S. M. Herrington, reduced tax rates, paid down debt, and expanded public works while preserving strong fiscal health and orderly administration.
