Dr J G de la Perriere of Winder buried in Georgia
Dr James Cochran Bolivar De La Perriere died at Winder Georgia on Saturday and his funeral was preached by Dr Belk on Sunday. He was a grandson of Madam Rosalie Gouvan who fled the Revolution in France and lived in this city with descendants still here. He first married General Ange De La Perriere who became lieutenant colonel in the Florida war under Andrew Jackson when he was seventeen. He and his sons served in the Civil War. De La Perriere left Paris the night of Napoleon's second marriage and spoke of acquaintance with Empress Josephine. Madam Gouvan's second husband was Michael Angelo Gouvan.

Funeral for Georgia Congressman Tribble Draws Thousands
In Hancock Avenue Presbyterian Church crowds from across Georgia gathered for the funeral of Samuel J. Tribble, congressman from Georgia’s Eighth District.
